1. Technology overview
At Tierra Prieta, we use wood and agricultural waste and transform it into BIOCHAR, a black, ultraporous charcoal. In addition to improving soil fertility and bringing significant water and fertilizer savings, our process allows us to certify carbon credits inherent in BIOCHAR.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
Biochar offers multiple benefits for soil, including its ability to retain water and nutrients, improve soil structure, and enhance microbial health. It helps control soil pollution by absorbing pollutants and aids in soil remediation. Biochar improves drought resistance, enhances seed germination, speeds up composting, and captures carbon in the soil. Additionally, it helps prevent soil compaction, waterlogging, and salinity issues while promoting better soil airflow and nutrient retention.
