1. Technology overview
HitPay was founded in Singapore in 2016 and is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore under the Payment Services Act, with a regulated merchant acquirer subsidiary in Malaysia. It gives small and growing businesses one platform to accept payments online and in store and to manage payouts, invoices and cash flow, without setup or monthly fees.
Online tools include checkout with cards, QR, e-wallets and BNPL, payment links, a store builder, invoicing, recurring billing and e-commerce plugins. In store, merchants use POS software, Tap to Pay, card terminals, static QR and a soundbox. Cross-border products add Borderless QR, which lets tourists pay with home-country wallets while the merchant settles in local currency, plus multi-currency FX and payouts. Developers get a REST API, sandbox, CLI and an MCP server, and all channels feed one dashboard.
