1. Technology overview
Doxa Holdings is a Singapore fintech founded and led by CEO Edmund Ng that digitizes procurement and payments in the built environment. It targets the slow, paper-based flow of quotations, purchase orders, progress claims and invoices between developers, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, where lower-tier firms can wait up to 100 days to be paid.
Doxa Connex is a cloud procure-to-pay platform with requisitions, centralised RFQs, purchase orders, approvals, goods receipt, three-way matching, progressive claims, payment certificates, variation orders, direct payments and direct financing. Approved commercial data is shared across the supply chain so that partner banks can offer financing with one-click submission. It integrates with ERP and accounting systems such as IFCA, SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, GLOBE and MYOB through APIs and SFTP, and runs on Amazon EKS.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Centralised RFQ: Collects and compares supplier quotations in one place.
- Requisition to PO: Manages requisitions, purchase orders, approvals and goods receipt.
- Three-way matching: Reconciles purchase orders, delivery records and invoices automatically.
- Progressive claims: Handles progress claims, payment certificates and variation orders.
- Embedded financing: Connects approved claims to bank financing from UOB, DBS, OCBC, CIMB and Maybank.
- ERP integration: Links to IFCA, SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, GLOBE and MYOB via API or SFTP.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese general contractor can run tenders, purchase orders and progress claims with suppliers on one platform. A developer can approve contractor claims digitally and track project spending. A bank in Vietnam can offer supply chain financing to subcontractors based on approved claim data.
4. Benefits
Doxa reports 49% workflow savings for users, and Kimly Construction cut man-hours spent on supplier and subcontractor payments by 30%. Subcontractors can access early payment through bank partners once a claim is approved, easing cash flow. Main contractors gain timely visibility on spending against budget, and suppliers use the portal free of charge.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Construction supply chains in Southeast Asia rely on many layers of small subcontractors that face long payment cycles and limited access to credit. Banks and card networks are building embedded and deep-tier financing on top of digital procurement data, which requires contractors to move claims and invoices onto shared platforms.
