1. Technology overview
AUBOT Automation & Robotics is a Hanoi-based Vietnamese company that designs and builds automated guided vehicles (AGVs), automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) and the software that runs them, under the tagline Made in Vietnam, Global Standards. It helps factories and distribution centres replace manual towing, cart moving and storage work.
The range includes the AGV T500 tugger with magnetic-tape guidance and up to 500 kg towing, the AGV B300 QR-code-navigated cart carrier with an automatic lifting mechanism, a Car Parking AGV for automated parking and an ASRS. A software platform links a warehouse management system (WMS), a warehouse control system (WCS) that talks to PLCs and equipment, and a fleet management system (FMS) that dispatches AGVs and manages traffic and charging. Featured clients include Sumitomo Corporation, Being Holdings and Nitori.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- AGV T500: magnetic-tape tugger with up to 500 kg towing capacity for factory lines.
- AGV B300: QR-navigated cart carrier with automatic lifting and auto-charging.
- ASRS and Car Parking AGV: automated storage and parking systems.
- WMS: SKU, batch and expiry management with FIFO/FEFO and barcode scanning.
- WCS: real-time control of robots and equipment via PLC with conflict-free routing.
- FMS: map and route setup, task dispatch, traffic control and battery management.
3. Potential application
A dairy or beverage plant can use T500 tuggers to move materials between production lines and stores. A furniture or retail distribution centre can combine ASRS with WMS for dense storage and fast picking. An electronics factory in an industrial park can rent B300 units to automate cart delivery to assembly lines.
4. Benefits
Replaces repetitive towing and cart delivery with AGVs that run 24/7, and the T500 works at least eight hours per charge. Magnetic-tape and QR navigation fit existing factory layouts without major infrastructure changes. Multi-zone laser scanners, bumpers, warning lights and emergency stops let AGVs work near people. One software stack covers inventory rules, equipment control and fleet dispatch, with FIFO/FEFO and pallet-level traceability.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Rising labour costs and the shift of manufacturing into Vietnam are pushing factories in food and beverage, dairy, brewing and electronics to automate internal transport and warehousing. Local AGV makers offer faster service, rental and Robot-as-a-Service options that lower the entry cost compared with imported systems.
6. Other information
Headquartered in the CF Group Building, 119 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Hanoi, with a second site at Ngoc Hoi Industrial Cluster. Featured projects include 500 AGVs for Sumitomo Corporation factories in Southeast Asia (2020-2025), 75 AGVs for Being Holdings distribution centres in Japan and T500 units for Nitori in Vietnam. Also offers AGV rental, maintenance and turnkey deployment.
