1. Technology overview
Infervision is a Chinese AI medical technology company established in 2016, with offices in London, Wiesbaden, New Jersey and Japan and use in more than 30 countries. It builds AI for image reading, surgical planning and oncology follow-up to relieve radiologist workload and speed up diagnosis.
The InferRead line covers CT Lung (lung nodule detection), DR Chest (chest X-ray abnormality and tuberculosis detection), CT Coronary (coronary stenosis on CTA), CT Stroke (hemorrhage triage), CT Bone (rib fracture detection) and CT Pneumonia. InferRead DR Chest works with stationary, portable and ultra-portable X-ray systems and has more than 50 deployments in over 15 high tuberculosis burden countries in Asia and Africa. InferOperate supports 3D thoracic, liver and urology surgical planning, and InferCare RECIST standardizes tumor assessment.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- CT Lung: lung nodule detection, with enhanced features cleared by FDA 510(k) in 2025.
- DR Chest: chest X-ray abnormality and tuberculosis detection, MDR CE and UKCA marked.
- CT Stroke and CT Coronary: hemorrhage triage on brain CT and stenosis assessment on coronary CTA.
- CT Bone and CT Pneumonia: rib fracture identification and pneumonia triage from chest CT.
- InferOperate Suite: 3D surgical planning for thorax, liver and urology.
- InferCare RECIST: standardized tumor measurement and follow-up for oncology.
3. Potential application
Tuberculosis programmes in Vietnam could pair portable X-ray units with DR Chest for active case finding in communes. Lung hospitals could use CT Lung for nodule detection in screening clinics. Surgical departments in provincial hospitals could use 3D planning before lung and liver resections.
4. Benefits
Detects tuberculosis on chest X-rays with an AUC of about 0.85 in published studies from Bangladesh and South Africa, near the WHO target profile. Halved the number of confirmatory diagnostic tests needed in the Bangladesh study while keeping sensitivity above 90%. Runs on portable and ultra-portable X-ray units, enabling community and mobile screening. Covers lung, heart, brain and bone on CT, so one vendor serves several departments.
5. Market trends & opportunities
WHO guidance recommends chest X-ray for tuberculosis screening to reduce costs, and Vietnam is among the countries with a high tuberculosis burden. Lung cancer screening with CT and AI-supported surgical planning are spreading across Asian hospitals, and portable X-ray plus AI makes community screening feasible in rural provinces.
6. Other information
Infervision was established in 2016 and has offices in London, Wiesbaden, Lyndhurst (New Jersey) and Japan. It holds CE, PMDA, FDA and NMPA approvals, including several NMPA Class III registrations. It reports more than 380 patents filed and over 330 peer-reviewed publications. In 2024 it partnered with SimonMed, a US outpatient imaging provider.
