Sagri Satellite AI Farmland Platform (SagriVision)

Sagri Co., Ltd. is a Japanese startup headquartered in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture, led by CEO Shunsuke Tsuboi. Its mission is to solve agricultural and environmental problems with satellite data and AI, combining satellite imagery, land parcel data, image analysis and AI field-polygon technology to make farmland information visible to governments, agribusinesses and food companies.

The product line has two parts. Farmland utilization tools include ACTABA, a patrol app that detects abandoned farmland, DETABA, which identifies crop types for planting surveys, and NINATABA, a land-matching service. Agri-innovation tools include AgriInsight Map for analysing farmland data and SagriVision, a digital MRV platform that visualizes soil, crop growth and climate impacts, estimates soil organic carbon and calculates GHG emissions and removals under SBTi-FLAG, supporting agricultural carbon credit projects.

Satellite-based MRV and AI field mapping are emerging as a low-cost way to cover large smallholder areas, and sugar, rice and coffee supply chains in Southeast Asia are early adopters of sustainable cultivation programs.
