1. Technology overview
Infcurion is a Tokyo fintech company founded in 2006 whose mission is to embed financial functions into every business. It provides payment infrastructure for digital wallets, international brand card issuing and bank API integration, plus consulting for the cashless payments industry, to companies that want financial services without building them in-house.
Xard, launched in April 2022, is a network-branded card issuing platform. Through open APIs, fintechs, financial institutions, retailers, SaaS and web service providers issue their own virtual or physical JCB or Visa cards in a modular format, while Infcurion handles issuance and payment processing. The October 2025 version added member management, funding source and credit limit management, and credit management, and options such as ETC toll card issuance with transaction data delivered via API.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Branded card issuing: Issues virtual or physical JCB and Visa cards under a client's brand.
- Open APIs: Integrates card issuance and transaction data into client services.
- Member management: Manages cardholders and their account information.
- Credit limit control: Manages funding sources, credit limits and credit approval.
- ETC card option: Issues toll cards and passes detailed transaction data via API.
- Modular roadmap: Plans card-level spending limits, merchant controls and revolving payments.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese accounting or expense SaaS provider working with a card issuer could offer virtual corporate cards with spending limits. A retailer could run a co-branded prepaid card for loyalty members. An HR platform could issue meal benefit cards to employees.
4. Benefits
Companies launch branded card and corporate payment services with lower initial development cost and focus on their core business. A sandbox environment can be provided in as little as two weeks. Modular features support subscriptions, payroll cards, employee benefits and B2B payments, and new modules can be added as programmes grow.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Embedded finance lets software, retail and payroll platforms offer cards without a banking licence, and corporate cards still cover a small share of B2B payments, leaving room for growth. Similar demand is emerging in Southeast Asia, where SaaS and super apps add cards and spend controls.
6. Other information
