1. Technology overview
Fyllo is an Indian precision farming company started in 2019 by Sudhanshu Rai and Sumit Sheoran. It helps growers of high-value crops replace guesswork in irrigation, nutrition and disease control with field data and AI advice.
The system combines farm IoT devices with a mobile app. Nero Infinity is a solar-powered soil sensor with built-in e-SIM that measures root-zone moisture and temperature and sends irrigation and fertigation alerts. Kairo is a 12-parameter weather station for soil, weather and crop environment, with a dashboard and API for FPOs and corporates. Auro is an AI motor controller for farm pumps with scheduling, voice control and six protections. Dharti AI answers farmers' questions in their language using their own farm data. Clients include government bodies and corporates in India and users in 12 countries.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Nero Infinity soil sensor: root-zone moisture and temperature with a touchless SWR sensor, solar power and e-SIM.
- Kairo weather station: 12 soil, weather and crop parameters covering 100+ acres, IMD certified.
- Auro motor controller: app and voice pump control for 1 to 150 HP motors with six protections and IP67 rating.
- Dharti AI: voice assistant answering crop questions in local languages using farm data.
- Advisory engine: irrigation timing, disease warnings, nutrition guidance and weather insights.
- B2B dashboard and API: multi-farm monitoring for FPOs, corporates and government programmes.
3. Potential application
- Durian and fruit exporters in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands equipping contract growers with soil sensors.
- Coffee cooperatives scheduling irrigation and pump operation to save water and electricity in the dry season.
- Fertiliser and crop protection companies offering sensor-based advisory to their dealer networks.
4. Benefits
- Company figures show an average 25% yield increase and 33% less water through precise irrigation timing.
- Earlier disease warnings and nutrition guidance reduce spray and fertiliser costs.
- Low-cost devices with e-SIM and solar power suit smallholder and orchard conditions.
- Dashboard and API let agribusinesses and FPOs monitor many farms from one place.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Affordable IoT sensors with cellular connectivity and AI voice advisory are making precision irrigation viable for smallholders growing grapes, pomegranates and other export crops. Vietnam's durian, coffee and fruit growers face similar pressure from drought and export quality standards, creating demand for low-cost soil and weather sensing.
6. Other information
Started in 2019, with media describing it as a Bengaluru startup. It reports 23,000+ devices installed, 15,000+ farmers and 75,000+ acres across 35+ crops in 12 countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Japan. The Nero sensor won India's Best Design Project at India's Best Design Awards 2023. Listed clients include ITC, Mahindra Agri, IFFCO Kisan, BASF and ICAR-IIHR.
