1. Technology overview
ANDPAD Inc. is a Tokyo-based construction technology company, represented by CEO Takeo Inada and headquartered in Sumitomo Fudosan Tokyo Mita Garden Tower in Minato-ku. Since 2016 it has offered ANDPAD, a cloud service that addresses paper-based site management, scattered drawings and photos and poor communication between builders, subcontractors and the office.
ANDPAD combines site efficiency and management improvement in one system: drawings, photos, forms and reports are centralised in the cloud and shared on mobile devices across the project team. The company is adding AI agents under its ANDPAD Stellarc strategy, for example detecting defects from drawings and photos, coordinating with subcontractors and calculating how drawing changes affect tasks and schedules. It also offers same-day receivables payment for contractors. In Japan it serves about 230,000 companies, and its Vietnam subsidiary localised the product for Vietnamese sites.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Project management: Manages construction projects, schedules and site information in one cloud system.
- Drawings and photos: Centralises drawings and site photos and shares them on mobile devices.
- Forms and reports: Replaces paper forms with digital reports, including custom layouts for Vietnam.
- Subcontractor coordination: Keeps builders, subcontractors and office staff on the same project data.
- ANDPAD Stellarc AI: Develops agents that detect defects and assess the impact of drawing changes.
- Early payment: Offers same-day payment of construction receivables through ANDPAD Hayauketori.
3. Potential application
A Japanese general contractor building factories in Vietnam can share drawings, photos and inspection forms between Japanese supervisors and Vietnamese subcontractors. A Vietnamese residential builder can replace paper site logs with mobile reports across several projects. A design-build firm can track defects and drawing changes in one system.
4. Benefits
ANDPAD reports over 233,000 companies and 684,000 users and passed JPY 10 billion in annual recurring revenue in autumn 2025. In its Vietnam pilot, work time fell by 30-50% compared with previous methods and paper and handwritten records became unnecessary because drawings, photos and forms were centralised. A Deloitte Tohmatsu MIC report (December 2024) names it the share leader in its market, and Japan's MLIT selected it as a recommended NETIS technology for FY2024.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Japanese contractors are expanding in Vietnam and ASEAN and bring their digital site management practices with them, while Vietnamese builders face pressure to replace paper logs and handwritten reports. Labour shortages and tighter schedules across the region are increasing demand for mobile, cloud-based site management that local teams can adopt quickly.
6. Other information
Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO Takeo Inada; service launched in 2016. Vietnam subsidiary ANDPAD VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED ran a JETRO-backed development and deployment pilot from February 2024 to May 2025 and plans to expand to major cities in northern and southern Vietnam and neighbouring countries. Raised about JPY 12.2 billion in September 2022 led by Minerva Growth Partners with T. Rowe Price, for about JPY 20.9 billion in total.
