1. Technology overview
Innov8tif Solutions Sdn Bhd was founded in 2011 in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, and is now a subsidiary of Datasonic Group Berhad, with entities in Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines. It focuses on electronic know-your-customer and identity assurance for banks, insurers, telecom operators, fintechs and government agencies across ASEAN, where remote onboarding must be fast while stopping identity fraud.
The EMAS eKYC Gateway is a single REST API that orchestrates four checks: OkayID reads and validates ID documents with OCR, OkayLive performs passive liveness detection without head turns or blinking, OkayFace matches the selfie against the ID portrait, and OkayDoc detects tampering, forgery and copies, including hologram and microprint checks. An optional OkayCam mobile SDK checks image quality on the device. The platform supports national IDs from 12 countries including Vietnam, plus passports, and is complemented by EMAS eKYB, AML screening and Pixaproof deepfake detection.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- OkayID: OCR and document-type recognition with field validation per country.
- OkayLive: passive liveness detection without user gestures.
- OkayFace: selfie-to-ID portrait face matching.
- OkayDoc: detection of tampering, forgery, copies, holograms and microprint.
- OkayCam SDK: on-device image quality checks for mobile capture.
- Add-ons: eKYB corporate checks, AML screening and Pixaproof deepfake detection.
3. Potential application
Banks, consumer lenders and buy-now-pay-later firms in Vietnam can onboard customers remotely by reading citizen ID cards and matching selfies. Insurers can verify policyholders and use Pixaproof to detect manipulated claim photos. Telecom operators can verify SIM subscribers against ID documents to curb fraud.
4. Benefits
Passive liveness removes head-turn or blink prompts, reducing drop-off during onboarding. OCR completes in about 5 to 10 seconds and end-to-end onboarding typically within 60 seconds. One API integration covers ID reading, liveness, face matching and document fraud checks. The company reports more than 30 million verification transactions for over 100 businesses in ASEAN, with a pay-as-you-go option for SMEs.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Central banks across ASEAN are formalizing remote onboarding rules, and deepfakes and forged IDs are pushing institutions toward certified liveness and document forensics. Vietnam's move to biometric authentication for online banking and chip-based citizen ID cards increases demand for eKYC that reads local documents and resists spoofing.
