Autogrow MultiGrow Climate and Fertigation Controller

Autogrow was founded in 1994 in Auckland, New Zealand, and makes automation and control systems for greenhouses, indoor farms and protected cropping. It was acquired by Bluelab in 2021, and in 2024 its business serving small and medium growers was bought by its long-time Malaysian distributor Excel Seeds. Autogrow reports 31 years in business and installations in 27 countries.

MultiGrow is a multi-zone controller that runs climate equipment such as fans, vents, screens, wet walls, misting, HVAC, dehumidifiers, lighting and CO2 injection, together with irrigation and fertigation through inline injection, batch tanks or NFT. Irrigation can be triggered by solar levels, time, evapotranspiration, moisture, weight or external inputs. Root-zone monitoring measures EC, pH and runoff volume to detect leaching and faults. Growers use a local touchscreen and remote portal, and the system scales from one grow room to multiple hectares.

Vietnam's net-house and greenhouse area for melons, vegetables and flowers keeps growing, and growers are moving from manual fertigation to automated climate and nutrient control.

Founded in 1994 by Jeff Broad in Auckland, New Zealand; acquired by Bluelab in 2021. In 2024 the SME commercial business was acquired by Excel Seeds of Malaysia. Distributors are listed in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam (Finom Company Limited, Da Lat), Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore. Yield prediction company WayBeyond was spun off from Autogrow.
