1. Technology overview
TechWolf BV is a workforce data company founded in 2018 by three computer science students from Ghent, Belgium, with offices in London, New York and San Francisco. It addresses the fact that large employers rarely know which skills their people have, which makes skills-based hiring, internal mobility and AI transformation hard to plan.
TechWolf builds a data layer that infers skills and tasks from existing work data and feeds them into HR systems and AI agents. Skills Intelligence shows the skills a workforce has and needs, Work Intelligence shows at task level what AI could automate or augment, and Market Intelligence (announced as coming soon) compares supply and demand across talent pools. It runs on its own AI models and plugs into Workday Skills Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle HCM Dynamic Skills, serving enterprises such as HSBC, Ericsson and GSK.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Skills Intelligence: inferred skill profiles for every employee and the skills each role needs.
- Work Intelligence: task-level view of what AI could automate or augment.
- Market Intelligence: supply and demand of skills across regions and industries (coming soon).
- HCM integrations: native feeds into Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle HCM.
- Use-case playbooks: skill gap analysis, workforce planning, internal mobility and role redesign.
- Developer API and open models: API documentation and open-source models on Hugging Face.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese bank running SAP SuccessFactors can build skill profiles for all staff to plan digital and AI reskilling. A telecom or IT services group can match internal engineers to new projects by skills. A manufacturer can analyse which office tasks AI will automate before redesigning roles.
4. Benefits
Builds a company-wide skills baseline in months rather than years, as HSBC did in 5 months for 250k+ employees. Feeds skills data into existing HR systems, so no new employee-facing tool is needed. Supports better hiring and upskilling decisions, with Workday reporting 15% faster time-to-hire and 39% fewer underperforming new hires. Shows where AI will change work at task level.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Enterprises are moving from job titles to skills as the unit of workforce planning, and AI adoption makes task-level redesign urgent. Multinationals and large Vietnamese groups already running Workday or SAP SuccessFactors in Southeast Asia need skills data to plan reskilling, which a skills layer inside their HR suite can supply without a new rollout.
6. Other information
Founded 2018 in Ghent by Mikael Wornoo, Andreas De Neve and Jeroen Van Hautte. Raised a EUR 10M Series A (2022) and a USD 42.75M Series B (2024) with SAP, Workday and ServiceNow. SAP agreed to acquire TechWolf in October 2026; TechWolf keeps its brand under CEO Andreas De Neve. ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 42001 certified.
