AVILOO FLASH Test EV Battery Diagnostics

AVILOO GmbH is an Austrian battery diagnostics company founded in 2018 and based in Wiener Neudorf near Vienna. It tackles the main barrier in used electric vehicle trading and battery reuse: nobody can easily see the real health of a traction battery, so prices, warranties and second-life decisions rest on guesswork.

The AVILOO FLASH Test connects a licensed AVILOO Box to the vehicle and, in about three minutes, produces a manufacturer-independent battery certificate with state of health, built on AI models and a large database of field tests. Results are managed in the AVILOO Connect portal, and a PREMIUM test with a rental box serves private owners. Business users include dealers, remarketing and leasing firms, fleets, inspection bodies and OEMs.

Used car dealers and EV trade-in programmes in Vietnam can certify battery health before resale. Leasing and ride-hailing fleets can test vehicles at lease return to set residual values. Battery reuse firms can screen packs before assigning them to second-life storage.

A certificate in about three minutes lets dealers price used EVs on measured battery health and sell faster. The free AVILOO Battery Warranty attached to the FLASH Test covers 1 year or 20,000 km with up to EUR 3,000 compensation, turning the battery into a selling point. Brand-neutral testing works across many models, and data from more than 500,000 tests supports residual value decisions.

Used EV markets are growing and battery health is the main unknown for buyers, lenders and insurers, while the EU battery passport will require state-of-health data. In Vietnam, the first large wave of electric cars and motorbikes will enter the used market in the next few years, creating demand for independent battery checks before resale, financing or reuse.

In February 2026 Armira Growth and Invest AG made a strategic investment of about EUR 30 million, joining Raiffeisen KMU Invest; the European Innovation Council Fund was an early investor. The Battery Warranty launched in France and Sweden in June 2026.
