1. Technology overview
Oizom Instruments Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian environmental monitoring company that has focused on air quality technology since 2015. It provides end-to-end, scalable systems for real-time air quality monitoring and data analytics for cities, industry, construction and research.
The flagship Polludrone is a modular, solar-capable outdoor station measuring particulate matter, gases such as CO, NO2, SO2, O3 and H2S, weather, noise and UV, using a patented e-Breathing sampling mechanism with onboard calibration and over-the-air updates. The range also includes Dustroid, Odosense, Pollusense, AQBot and Weathercom. Data flows to the Envizom platform, cloud or on-premise, for dashboards, heatmaps, alerts, automated reports and APIs. Clients shown include Adani, Tata Steel and Aditya Birla Group.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Polludrone station: measures PM, CO, NO2, SO2, O3, H2S, weather, noise and UV in Lite, Smart and Pro variants.
- e-Breathing sampling: patented airflow design for stable readings across conditions.
- Specialised monitors: Dustroid for dust, Odosense for odour and AQBot for industrial sites.
- Flexible connectivity: GSM, LTE, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, LoRa, Modbus and satellite.
- Envizom platform: dashboards, heatmaps, alerts, automated reports and secure API access.
- Rugged design: IP66 and NEMA 4X enclosure with AC or solar power and battery backup.
3. Potential application
Contractors building metro lines or high-rises in Ho Chi Minh City can use dust monitors with relay-triggered misting to control PM10. Cement, steel and chemical plants can install fenceline stations to track gases and odour. Wastewater treatment plants can monitor H2S and odour complaints from nearby residential areas.
4. Benefits
One station can replace several single-purpose instruments by combining dust, gases, weather and noise in a configurable unit. Sixteen GB of onboard storage keeps up to 90 days of data during network outages, and multiple connectivity options including NB-IoT, LoRa and satellite suit remote sites. Relay outputs on AQBot PM can trigger dust suppression automatically to help sites stay compliant.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Regulators are increasingly requiring continuous, real-time dust and emissions monitoring at construction sites, industrial fencelines and wastewater plants rather than periodic sampling. In Vietnam, rapid urban construction and industrial park growth are raising demand for affordable automatic monitoring that can feed data to authorities and the public.
6. Other information
Oizom has worked on environmental monitoring since 2015 and reports more than 3,500 installation locations and a presence in over 80 countries through network partners. It lists ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, was selected for the Accenture Sustainability Value Accelerator in 2022 and has a case study at UMT campus in Malaysia.
