1. Technology overview
APMIC is a Taiwanese enterprise AI company founded in 2017 that focuses on private, on-premises generative AI for organisations that cannot send data to public clouds. It reports more than 1,100 organisations as users across healthcare, manufacturing, finance, retail and government.
PrivStation bundles hardware and software into an on-premises AI station built on the CaiGunn no-code builder and the PrivAI RAG engine. Teams build multi-department, multi-agent assistants that answer from internal documents with source citations and paragraph mapping, using multimodal RAG for tables, images and complex PDFs. Models can be ACE-1 (optimised for Traditional Chinese), Llama 3.3 70B, models fine-tuned with PrivModel or the customer's own. All training, inference and fine-tuning stay on the customer's servers or NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- CaiGunn no-code builder: create and launch AI assistants and agents without coding.
- PrivAI RAG engine: API-based retrieval with source citations and paragraph mapping.
- Multimodal documents: handles text, tables, images and complex PDFs with built-in vision-language models.
- Knowledge versioning: track, compare and audit knowledge updates and auto-generate FAQ sets.
- Model choice: ACE-1, Llama 3.3 70B, PrivModel fine-tuned models or bring-your-own.
- Enterprise integration: API and no-code connectors to ERP, CRM and BI with role-based access control.
3. Potential application
An electronics factory in Vietnam can give engineers an on-premises assistant for SOPs, diagnostics and maintenance manuals. A bank or insurer can run contract review and advisory support without data leaving its data centre. A city department can offer a citizen Q&A assistant on housing or land procedures, similar to Taipei's Hi Landy.
4. Benefits
Keeps all data and AI processing inside the customer's infrastructure, with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and per-project data isolation. Hardware installation and setup can be completed within 30 days. Answers carry source citations and version-tracked knowledge, which supports audit in regulated sectors. The vendor reports its B200 inference server supports up to 1,300 concurrent users.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Banks, manufacturers and public agencies in Asia want generative AI agents but face data residency and confidentiality rules that block public cloud models. Appliance-style private AI with local fine-tuning is gaining traction, and Vietnam's personal data protection rules create similar demand among local enterprises.
6. Other information
APMIC was founded in Taiwan in 2017 and issues press releases from Taipei. Its products include ACE models, CaiGunn, PrivAI, PrivModel and PrivStation. In 2025 it launched XecGuard, an LLM security module, with CyCraft. A named deployment is the Taipei City Department of Land Administration's Hi Landy assistant.
