1. Technology overview
MEDcury Co., Ltd. is a Bangkok health software company launched in 2018 as a subsidiary of Backyard Group, with its head office on Sukhumvit 63 (Ekkamai). It builds hospital information systems so Thai private hospitals and clinics can run paperless and connect their data.
MEDHIS, formerly Centrix, is a cloud HIS with 19+ core modules that cover the electronic medical record from patient history through payment, with clinical decision support and clinical pharmacy order entry to reduce errors. An API connects medical IoT devices, health kiosks and ERP, and dashboards support analysis. MEDconnext adds HL7 FHIR health information exchange, and MEDHIS Lite serves outpatient clinics with shareable EMR, speech-to-text and government payer support. A telemedicine platform and the Jivaka primary care solution complete the portfolio. Customers are private hospitals, specialist hospitals and clinics.

3. Potential application
Mid-sized private hospitals in Vietnam could adopt a cloud HIS to meet electronic medical record requirements without large server investments. Aesthetic and specialist clinic chains could use MEDHIS Lite to manage packages, memberships and branch records. Hospitals aiming for JCI accreditation could use the HL7 FHIR layer to integrate existing systems.
4. Benefits
Cloud delivery lets hospitals run a full HIS without large on-site server investments, with 24-hour support for critical issues. Decision support and order entry checks reduce diagnostic and medication errors. The open API and HL7 FHIR exchange let hospitals connect devices, kiosks and partner AI tools such as speech-to-text scribes. The company positions the system as preparation for JCI and HIMSS accreditation, and reports 30+ hospitals, 80+ facilities and 3.5 million patients on its platform.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Private hospitals in Southeast Asia are replacing legacy on-premise HIS with cloud, API-first systems that can plug in AI scribes, wearables and analytics. Medical tourism and accreditation goals such as JCI and HIMSS also push mid-sized hospitals to modernise their records and data exchange.
6. Other information
