Factova Smart Factory Platform (Factova MES)

LG CNS is an IT services company headquartered at LG Science Park in Seoul, Korea. Factova is its smart factory brand, built on about 30 years of MES deployments in petrochemicals, electronics, displays, pharmaceuticals and batteries, and in 2026 the company began offering it in modular form to small and mid-sized manufacturers.

Factova MES provides an MES engine with real-time monitoring and label design, standard processes such as logistics automation, real-time dispatching and online equipment functions, and process and line quality management on one development framework. Factova Control standardises equipment data from different vendors and uses AI for anomaly detection and predictive maintenance, and the ecosystem links SPC, RMS, FDC, QMS, IoT and a warehouse system available in English, Chinese, Polish and Indonesian.

A plant with machines from several vendors can standardise equipment data with Factova Control for predictive maintenance. A pharmaceutical producer can use the platform for process quality control.

Modular MES lets smaller plants start with core functions and add features later. LG CNS reports that at a Korean battery plant the conforming product share passed 90% within one month and return costs fell by about 70%, and at a Korean electronics plant shop-floor productivity rose about 20% with more than 90% of process data collected automatically. Factova Control already runs on more than 100,000 machines worldwide.

Battery, electronics and display supply chains led by Korean groups are expanding in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam and Indonesia, and suppliers are asked to provide digital quality and traceability data. Packaging large-group MES know-how into modular offers for mid-sized plants is a growing trend among Korean IT service firms.
