1. Technology overview
INTAMSYS is a Chinese industrial 3D printer maker founded in 2016 by engineers with backgrounds in precision equipment and high-performance materials, with offices in Shanghai, Dongguan, Stuttgart and Minneapolis. It enables manufacturers to print end-use parts in high-temperature engineering polymers such as PEEK, PEKK and PEI, replacing machined metal or plastic parts in demanding applications.
The FUNMAT range of fused filament fabrication (FFF) printers spans the FUNMAT HT desktop PEEK printer, the FUNMAT PRO 310 NEO and APOLLO, the FUNMAT PRO 410 and the FUNMAT PRO 610HT with 500 °C nozzle and 300 °C chamber. The new APOLLO uses an independent dual extrusion (IDEX) system, active drying boxes, RFID spool recognition and auto-cleaning nozzles for continuous production. INTAMSUITE NEO handles slicing, INTAMSUITE Local Print and Linker provide fleet management and an API, and INTAMQuality logs data for traceability. INTAM filaments cover more than 30 materials. Customers include Thales Alenia Space and engineering firms in aerospace, automotive, medical and education.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- PEEK-ready printers: FUNMAT models print PEEK, PEKK, PEI, PPS and carbon or glass filled grades.
- IDEX extrusion: independent dual nozzles support mirror and duplicate modes for higher output.
- Active drying: dual 3 kg dry boxes up to 65 °C keep high-temperature filaments dry.
- High-temperature range: FUNMAT PRO 610HT reaches a 500 °C nozzle and a 300 °C chamber.
- INTAMSUITE software: NEO slicing, Local Print fleet control and Linker SDK/API for remote operation.
- INTAMQuality traceability: real-time logging of materials, parameters and runtime for each part.
3. Potential application
Electronics assembly plants in Vietnam can print heat-resistant PEEK and PEI jigs, fixtures and soldering pallets in-house. Oil and gas and petrochemical operators can produce wear-resistant PPS-GF spare parts on demand. Universities and research institutes can use FUNMAT HT systems to teach and research high-performance polymer printing.
4. Benefits
INTAMSYS states that the FUNMAT PRO 310 APOLLO prints up to 4 times faster than before and delivers over 2 times higher Z-axis strength, exceeding 40 MPa, for PAEK parts. Dual 3 kg active drying boxes allow up to one week of uninterrupted printing without material changeovers, and auto-cleaning nozzles remove the need for a prime tower, cutting waste. The INTAMQuality system records filament source, print parameters and runtime logs, giving the traceability needed for aerospace and medical parts.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Manufacturers are replacing small batches of machined metal parts, jigs and fixtures with 3D printed high-performance polymers such as PEEK and PEKK, which are lightweight, heat resistant and chemically stable. In Southeast Asia, electronics, automotive and oil and gas supply chains increasingly need fast, local production of heat-resistant tooling and spare parts, favouring affordable industrial FFF platforms.
6. Other information
Founded in 2016; operates as INTAMSYS Technology Co. Ltd. with offices in Shanghai and Dongguan (China), Stuttgart (Germany) and Minneapolis (USA), and a global partner network. Launched the FUNMAT PRO 610HT showcase at TCT Asia in March 2025 and the FUNMAT PRO 310 APOLLO at Formnext in November 2025. Case study customers include Thales Alenia Space, Asgård Engineering, Rotechnic and Terrestrial X.
