5U AI Workers for Freight Forwarders

5U AI is a Munich, Germany startup founded in 2025 by Yagiz Abik and Fehmi Sener, both TUM graduates. It builds agentic AI for freight forwarders so that routine operational work is handled by software workers with human review.

Its AI Workers cover a Track and Trace Worker, a Rate Manager and document processing across air, sea and land freight. They connect to email, Slack, WhatsApp, WiseTech, Timocom, TMS platforms and customer portals, keep SOPs and customer preferences, and record the logic behind each action.

A forwarder in Ho Chi Minh City can automate customer status enquiries. A sales team can speed up spot quotes from carrier rate sheets. An operations team can reconcile invoices with shipment records.

Forwarding teams can cover tracking, quoting and document tasks around the clock in multiple languages. Human-in-the-loop review keeps staff in control. Connections to existing tools mean no replacement of the current TMS is required.

Freight forwarders are adopting AI agents for email-heavy quoting and tracking work as labour costs rise. Vietnamese forwarders handling many small shipments face the same inbox workload and could use such workers on CargoWise-based operations.

Raised a 3.2 million US dollar pre-seed round in July 2026 led by Emerge Capital, to fund product development and European go-to-market. Existing customers include TCI International Logistics, per the funding announcement.
