Audrey AI

Audrey AI is a Dublin, Ireland startup founded in 2025 by Ryan Loughran and David Burke. It builds an agentic AI platform for financial audit teams, aiming to cut the manual effort of collecting client data and testing transactions.

The product adapts to each audit firm's methodology. A PBC agent drafts document requests and validates client submissions, while test-of-details workpapers are drafted automatically with exceptions flagged for the auditor. Evidence is linked to explained conclusions, and two pilots are live with top-10 and top-20 audit firms, including HLB Ireland as a quoted partner.

Pilots with top-10 and top-20 audit firms reported over 85% time savings in client data collection, validation and tests of detail (per funding announcement). Structured data is available from day one of an engagement. All outputs remain editable by auditors. ISO 27001 certified with tenant isolation and audit logging.

Audit firms face talent shortages and pressure to cut manual evidence gathering, driving investment in audit-specific AI agents. Several audit AI startups raised seed rounds in 2026. In Vietnam and Southeast Asia, local audit firms and Big Four affiliates are digitising workpapers and could adopt similar tools.
