RobotBank Star Series AMR (StarLight, StarLift, StarPad)

1. Technology overview

RobotBank Co., Ltd. was founded in February 2022 and is headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, with a development institute in Hamamatsu, a U.S. R&D base in California and a subsidiary in Shanghai. It sells and integrates robots, including AMRs, cleaning robots and AI forklifts, for factories and warehouses.

The Star series AMRs, such as StarLight300, StarLift300 and StarPad600, use SLAM navigation with 360-degree and 140-degree LiDAR and AI obstacle avoidance, so no guide tape is needed. StarLight300 carries 300 kg, with a 60 cm minimum passage width, and connects to WMS, MES and RCS through APIs, plus elevators and automatic doors.

2. Highlighted features & specifications

  • SLAM navigation: 360-degree and 140-degree LiDAR with AI obstacle avoidance, positioning accuracy of 5 mm.
  • Payload range: StarLight 150/300/600 and StarLift models for different loads, plus StarFork 1500 forklift.
  • Navigation modes: free, rail, hybrid and follow modes.
  • System integration: API links to WMS, MES and RCS, plus elevators and automatic doors.
  • Fleet management: cloud monitoring, alarms and OTA updates for multiple robots.
  • Compliance: ISO 9001, CE, FCC, KC and UN38.3 listed for StarLight300.

3. Potential application

Moving parts to production lines and collecting empty containers in electronics and mechanical plants. Carrying goods to shipping areas in distribution warehouses. Pallet handling with the AI forklift in factories that run mixed manual and automated flows.

4. Benefits

Deployment can start with one transport section and expand, per the vendor's guidance. No guide tape is required because navigation is SLAM-based. StarLight300 offers up to 9 hours of operation and automatic charging for 24/7 use. Remote monitoring, OTA updates and multi-robot cloud management reduce site visits. Remote troubleshooting and loaner units are included in support.

6. Other information

Founded February 2022 with capital of 120 million yen; headquartered in Ichigaya, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Five offices including a Hamamatsu development institute, a San Mateo R&D base and a Shanghai subsidiary. Also sells cleaning, serving and humanoid robots and runs a dealer program.
