1. Technology overview
Ordermentum is a wholesale ordering platform that connects hospitality venues with food and beverage suppliers in Australia. The company, led by founder and CEO Adam Theobald, says it has spent more than 10 years building the product and is embedded in about half of the country's foodservice venues.
Suppliers use Order Management, Acquisition, Retention, Payments, Insights and Integrations modules, while venues use Procurement, Payments, Profit and Xero Sync. Omni AI reads orders arriving by email, PDF, CSV or text and creates draft purchase orders for approval. The platform integrates with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, MYOB, Unleashed, Cin7, Xero and QuickBooks.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Order management: digital catalogue and ecommerce ordering for suppliers.
- Omni AI: extracts orders from email, PDF, CSV and text into draft purchase orders.
- Payments: faster payments between venues and suppliers.
- Insights: sales data and customer analytics for suppliers.
- Venue procurement: supplier search, order history and spend tracking.
- Integrations: ERP, inventory and accounting sync, including NetSuite, MYOB and Xero.
3. Potential application
Vietnamese beverage, coffee or bakery suppliers could consolidate orders arriving through chat, email and calls into one ordering system. Hospitality groups could centralize supplier procurement and reconcile invoices with accounting.
4. Benefits
Suppliers centralize orders from digital and off-platform channels in one system. The vendor claims 80% less manual data entry and up to 90% fewer errors with Omni AI, and 5x faster payments (company claims). Venues get order history, accounting reconciliation and spend tracking.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Food and beverage suppliers still receive many orders by phone, email and message, and are adopting AI to capture them in one system. The same pattern applies to Vietnamese F&B distributors serving many small venues, although Ordermentum currently focuses on Australia.
