1. Technology overview
AnaBatIC Semiconductor is a Korean fabless startup that designs wireless battery management system (BMS) semiconductors, with offices in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do and Seoul. Its mission is to develop and supply BMS chips and solutions for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
The company develops a next-generation chip that integrates core BMS functions for EVs and ESS, unveiled in October 2025. It signed a supply contract with Coasia Semi for a wireless communication chip baseband SoC in November 2025, and an MOU with Minetech for an EIS-equipped BMS chip in December 2024.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Wireless BMS semiconductors: chips designed for wireless battery management systems.
- Integrated BMS core functions: one next-generation chip combines core functions for EVs and ESS.
- Wireless communication baseband: a supply contract with Coasia Semi covers a wCP baseband SoC.
- EIS-equipped BMS chip: an MOU with Minetech covers a chip with impedance spectroscopy.
- Target markets: electric vehicle and energy storage battery systems.
3. Potential application
Vietnamese EV and e-bus battery pack assemblers can evaluate integrated BMS chips for pack design. ESS integrators can assess wireless BMS to simplify large rack wiring.
4. Benefits
Integrating core BMS functions on one chip reduces component count in EV and ESS battery packs. Wireless BMS design cuts wiring harnesses. An EIS-equipped BMS chip is under MOU for deeper battery health insight. The company is backed by Smilegate Investment and raised 15 billion won in March 2026.
5. Market trends & opportunities
EV and energy storage makers are moving to wireless and highly integrated BMS to cut wiring and cost, and to add health diagnostics such as EIS. Vietnam's EV makers and ESS integrators are potential buyers of imported BMS chips.
