1. Technology overview

Venice Security, led by co-founder and CEO Rotem Lurie and CTO Or Vaknin, operates from Tel Aviv and New York and launched publicly in February 2026. It targets legacy privileged access management, which struggles with identity sprawl and adds friction that pushes users to bypass controls.

The platform delivers zero standing privilege across human users, machine identities and AI agents: access is granted just in time based on identity, task and risk context. It is deployed without agents or proxies, includes a gateway that checks each AI agent action against its declared task, and offers a migration path from legacy vaults and shared accounts. Customers are Fortune 500 enterprises in finance, media, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare and technology.

2. Highlighted features & specifications

  • Zero standing privilege: grants just-in-time access with no permanent rights.
  • AI agent governance: a gateway checks each agent action against its declared task.
  • Credential isolation: agents do not receive direct access to credentials.
  • Policy-driven decisions: based on identity, task and risk context.
  • Legacy migration: path away from vaults and shared accounts.
  • Session accountability: ties each action to a monitored session and a real identity.

3. Potential application

A bank can replace shared admin accounts on core systems with just-in-time access. A manufacturer can govern vendor and contractor access to OT-adjacent servers. A company deploying AI agents can limit what each agent may do with production credentials.

4. Benefits

  • Removes standing access, shrinking the credential-based attack surface.
  • Agentless and proxyless deployment avoids heavy rollout work.
  • One policy layer for cloud, on-premises, SaaS and hybrid systems.
  • Each request is linked to a decision, an action and a monitored session for audit.

6. Other information

Launched publicly 18 February 2026 with $33M total funding, including a $25M Series A led by IVP with Index Ventures, Vine Ventures and Holly Ventures. Offices in Tel Aviv and New York.
