1. Technology overview
Almetra, formerly known as Deltia, is a Berlin-based manufacturing intelligence company. It addresses the lack of continuous, objective visibility into what limits production-line performance.
The platform places AI cameras above production lines and processes video locally into cycle times, output rates and equipment utilisation, without requiring IT integration. It combines video with machine data, IT systems and operator knowledge, ranks the largest losses in daily briefings, classifies stoppages and lets teams build custom agents. Video is anonymised and the system tracks processes rather than individuals.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Capture: privacy-preserving video and AI observe cycles, motion and interruptions.
- Monitor: live tracking compares shift output and cycle times against target.
- Alert: teams are notified when meaningful deviations occur.
- Analyze: stoppages are classified and micro-stops and bottlenecks are surfaced.
- Agents: prebuilt and custom agents answer follow-up questions by text or voice.
- Privacy: raw video is discarded after processing.
3. Potential application
Electronics or garment assembly lines in Vietnam could measure cycle time and micro-stops per shift. Plants supplying multinational customers could use the daily loss ranking to prioritise improvement projects.
4. Benefits
Provides continuous visibility into line performance without IT integration. Daily briefings rank the largest losses and alerts flag meaningful deviations. Raw video is discarded after processing and individuals are not tracked, which eases privacy concerns.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Factories are adopting vision AI to measure OEE and line losses without major IT projects. Vietnam's electronics, textile and assembly plants have many manual and semi-automated lines where such visibility is lacking.
6. Other information
Formerly Deltia. Berlin-based. Raised a EUR 16.3M Series A in June 2026 led by blisce/ with NAP, Merantix Capital, Robin Capital, Underline and Critical Ventures. Robotics applications are planned.
One platform connecting startups, corporations, research institutions, regions and investors
