1. Technology overview
Invinity Energy Systems is a vanadium flow battery manufacturer formed in 2020 through the merger of UK-based redT energy and North American Avalon Battery, headquartered in the United Kingdom with manufacturing operations in Scotland, Canada, the United States and India. The company addresses the need for safe, long-duration energy storage that avoids lithium-ion fire risk while being sited close to buildings and communities.
Its Endurium and Endurium Enterprise vanadium flow battery systems store energy in liquid electrolyte tanks that can be sized independently from power output, supporting several hours of continuous discharge. Invinity has supplied utilities, commercial and industrial operators, data centers and off-grid sites across 17 countries, including a 20.7 MWh installation and a selected 1.5 GWh project in Switzerland.
