ButterflyMX is a property access and security company founded in 2014, headquartered in New York, United States. It was created to replace outdated building intercoms and physical keys with smartphone-based access, addressing the security and convenience needs of multifamily, commercial and student housing properties.

Its platform combines video intercom panels, keypad and card access control, package room management and security cameras into a single system managed from a mobile app, and integrates with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage and Entrata to automate access during move-ins and visitor arrivals. More than 20,000 properties use the platform across multifamily, commercial and gated communities.
