Viettel High Tech Research Institute

Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation (Viettel High Tech, VHT) is the research and manufacturing unit of the Viettel Group, covering defence, telecommunications and civil technology. In telecommunications, VHT designs and produces mobile network equipment, including 5G Open RAN base stations with radio units and distributed units developed with Qualcomm's 5G RAN platforms and used in Viettel's commercial O-RAN 5G network launched in 2024. VHT also deploys private 5G networks for factories and participates in 3GPP standardisation work toward 6G. Its work spans research, design, manufacturing and sales.
