1. Technology overview
Sensesemi Technologies Pvt Ltd is a fabless chip startup with a Bengaluru, India dateline in its funding coverage, led by founder and CEO Vijay Muktamath and co-founder Namit Varma. It develops a system-on-chip for connected IoT and Internet of Medical Things applications, with low power use and embedded AI for edge inference.
The flagship SenseSoC combines a wireless interface, an AI accelerator, an efficient MCU, an analog front end and security at the core, and is configurable. Target uses include industrial predictive maintenance, automotive driver monitoring and medical devices such as cardiac monitoring. The company is also developing an analog AI inference processor for battery-operated and implantable devices.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- AI accelerator: embedded engine for edge inference.
- Efficient MCU: low-power control core.
- Wireless interface: low-power connectivity including mesh.
- Analog front end: precision analog signal processing on chip.
- Security at the core: built-in protection with a configurable design.
3. Potential application
Factory maintenance sensor makers can run predictive-maintenance models on the sensor node. Medical device makers can evaluate it for wearable cardiac monitors.
4. Benefits
Ultra-low-power operation with embedded AI suits battery-powered IoT and medical devices. Wireless, analog sensing and AI on one chip reduce board complexity. Security is built into the core of the SoC.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Edge AI in IoT and medical devices needs chips that run inference on very little power. Vietnamese makers of industrial sensors and medical devices could evaluate such SoCs once tape-out and reference designs mature.
6. Other information
Seed round of 25 crore INR (about 2.75 million USD) in January 2026 led by Piper Serica, with LetsVenture Angel Fund, MyAsiaVC and others. Funds target tape-outs, reference designs and ODM partnerships. Partners on the website include DLI, C-DAC and Microsoft.
One platform connecting startups, corporations, research institutions, regions and investors
