1. Technology overview
Neuromeka was established in February 2013 in Namyangju, South Korea, is headquartered in Seoul and has been listed on KOSDAQ since November 2022. It develops collaborative robots, high-speed delta robots, mobile robots and core components in-house, aiming to raise productivity and reduce industrial accident risk in factories and service sites.
Its flagship Indy cobots come in 7 kg and 12 kg payload versions, with Pro models adding the IndyEye vision option. A sensorless collision-detection algorithm protects workers, impedance control enables direct teaching by hand, and an Android tablet teach-pendant app supports online and offline programming. A wrist expansion port accepts grippers and vision sensors. Indy is used in manufacturing, food and beverage service such as coffee and noodle preparation, media and welding.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Indy7 and Indy12: 6-axis cobots with 7 kg and 12 kg payloads.
- Collision detection: a sensorless algorithm stops the robot on contact with people.
- Direct teaching: impedance control lets operators guide the arm by hand.
- Tablet teach pendant: Android app for online and offline programming.
- IndyEye: vision option on Pro models for recognition-based tasks.
- OPTi3: a 3 kg lightweight cobot launched in 2025.
3. Potential application
A Korean-invested electronics or auto parts plant in Vietnam can use Indy for machine tending and assembly. A coffee or noodle chain can deploy Indy-based cooking stations in busy outlets. A university or vocational school can use Indy as a training platform for robotics courses.
4. Benefits
Direct teaching by hand and a tablet app let operators without coding skills set up tasks quickly. Sensorless collision detection allows the robot to share space with staff without extra fencing. NSF-marked models suit food handling, and a Vietnam centre in Ho Chi Minh City gives local buyers access to support.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Korean manufacturers and service businesses are adopting cobots to cope with labour shortages, and robot cooking and beverage stations are spreading in food service. Vietnam, with many Korean-invested factories, is a natural next market for Korean cobot makers.
6. Other information
Founded in February 2013; Series A to D rounds from 2016 to 2021 and KOSDAQ listing in November 2022. Opened the V-SCRC centre in Ho Chi Minh City in 2018; also has sites in Texas, Chongqing and Hangzhou. Holds 39 patent applications and leads a national physical AI project for autonomous shipbuilding welding.
