1. Technology overview
EKA Mobility is an electric commercial vehicle maker headquartered in Pune, India, and part of a group with Pinnacle Industries, Instor India and VDL Pinnacle. It aims to make zero-emission public transport and goods movement viable for bus operators, logistics companies and fleet owners.
Its range of 14 electric commercial vehicles includes 7 m to 12 m city and low-floor buses, a coach, a 55-tonne truck, a 1.5-tonne light commercial vehicle and electric three-wheelers. The 12 m bus uses a 300 kWh liquid-cooled LFP battery, a 240 kW motor, dual-gun CCS2 fast charging and ADAS, with a claimed 250 km range, while the 1.5T van carries 1,500 kg on a 32 kWh battery. The EKA Stack software layer includes the ECO platform, EKA Intellify vehicle software and EKA Connect fleet data. EKA also offers white labelling, powertrain components and modular factory kits for partners.

3. Potential application
Urban bus operators in Vietnamese cities can add electric buses to meet electrification targets. Logistics and distribution companies can use electric light trucks for intra-city delivery. Local assemblers can work with EKA through white labelling or modular factory kits to produce electric commercial vehicles domestically.
4. Benefits
Fleet operators get electric buses, trucks and vans from one supplier, with the company citing an order book of more than 10,000 vehicles and over 16 million kilometres driven. LFP batteries, liquid cooling and stainless steel monocoque chassis target durability and safety. The 1.5T van carries a 6-year or 165,000 km battery warranty, and connected fleet software supports data-driven operations.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Governments across Asia are funding electric bus programmes, and logistics firms are under pressure to cut diesel use in cities. India's PM e-Bus Sewa scheme and similar targets in Southeast Asia are driving large tenders, and Vietnam's plan to convert urban buses to electric creates demand for affordable electric buses and light trucks.
