1. Technology overview
Sormac BV is a vegetable and fruit processing technology specialist headquartered in Venlo, the Netherlands. Its name derives from Sorting Machines, after its first tomato and gherkin sorters. The company serves processors of potatoes, carrots, onions, leafy greens, cabbage, fruiting vegetables, fruit and herbs.
The product range covers machines for coring, peeling and polishing, cutting, washing, drying, inspecting, grading, weighing and mixing, as well as complete lines and customized projects. Examples include the FS-3600 slicer, OptiCor lettuce corer and PepperCorer Robotic. In June 2026 Sormac opened a Southeast Asia Hub in Bangkok with a showroom and test area.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Slice and wedge cutters: FS-1500 and F-2000XL units shown at the Bangkok hub.

3. Potential application
Vietnamese fresh-cut vegetable and salad processors can trial cutting and washing machines at the Bangkok hub. Potato and cassava snack producers can evaluate slicing and washing lines. Fruit processors can assess peeling and coring for export products.
4. Benefits
A Bangkok showroom and test area lets Southeast Asian processors trial machines with their own local products. A local authorised dealer, Primary Engineering, provides technical assistance in Thailand. Complete lines and single machines allow staged investment. Machines cover washing, cutting, peeling and grading in one supplier range.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Demand for fresh-cut and ready-to-use produce is growing across Asia-Pacific, and processors look for local demonstration and support before investing. Sormac's Bangkok hub targets this need in Southeast Asia, which borders Vietnamese fruit, vegetable and potato processors.
6. Other information
Sormac is headquartered in Venlo, the Netherlands, with regional sites in Germany, the UK and Ireland, and the USA. It announced the Southeast Asia Hub on 4 June 2026 and exhibited at ProPak Asia (Bangkok, 10-13 June 2026). Named customers include Gills Onions, Natures Way Foods and Hesburger.
