3DS Industrial 3D Printing and 3D Scanning Solutions

3D Smart Solutions (3DS) is a Vietnamese 3D technology company founded on 9 August 2009 and headquartered in Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City, with branches in Da Nang and Hanoi. It consults on, supplies and transfers 3D technologies to manufacturers so they can shorten design cycles, cut rework and move from prototypes to small-batch production. In 2023 it opened a 1,200 square metre 3D technology facility.

The company distributes industrial 3D printers from 3D Systems (SLA, SLS, Figure 4, MJP and DMP metal systems) and large-format Modix printers, industrial 3D scanners for reverse engineering and inspection with Geomagic software, and Mastercam and GibbsCAM for CNC programming. Around the equipment it provides installation, training, technology transfer, 3D printing and scanning services, reverse engineering and small-batch production. Customers come from heavy industry, footwear, electronics, healthcare and education.

Footwear manufacturers can print sole and last prototypes and scan moulds to speed up new models. Foundries and precision engineering plants can inspect castings with 3D scanners and compare them against CAD. Dental labs and hospitals can use SLA and metal printers for models, surgical guides and implants.

Vietnamese manufacturers get industrial printers, scanners and CAM software from one local supplier with technical support, training and technology transfer in Vietnamese. 3DS reports more than 2,277 customers and over 15,687 domestic and international orders, and a 1,200 square metre facility where buyers can see machines and test parts before investing. Combined printing, scanning and CNC programming shortens the path from design to inspected part.

Vietnam is becoming a manufacturing hub for electronics, footwear, precision engineering and healthcare, and suppliers to FDI companies need faster prototyping, tooling and dimensional inspection. Industrial 3D printing and scanning are moving from universities and service bureaus into factories, which increases demand for local partners that combine equipment, software and training.

Founded on 9 August 2009 in Ho Chi Minh City by CEO Truong Tan Tong; about 50 employees. Signed a strategic partnership with 3D Systems in May 2026.
