1. Technology overview

ABZ Innovation is a Hungarian developer and manufacturer of heavy-duty drone systems based in Szentendre. It builds drones for field spraying, spreading, high-pressure cleaning and cargo, and sells them through distributors in more than 40 countries, reporting over 350 customers.

The L50 is its flagship sprayer, presented as a European-designed and made 50-litre agricultural spraying drone. It carries a 50 L spray tank or a 70 L spreader, covers up to 24 ha per hour with a 12 m working width, and uses a rotating-disc CDA system with adjustable droplets from 60 to 1000 µm. Navigation relies on 3D LiDAR obstacle avoidance and dual RTK positioning, and the company states that no flight data is sent to remote servers. The wider L-series includes the L30 V2, L10 V2 and L10 V2 LIGHT sprayers.

2. Highlighted features & specifications

  • Large payload: 50 L spray tank or 70 L spreader, 108 kg maximum take-off mass.
  • CDA spraying: rotating discs with 60–1000 µm adjustable droplets and up to 16 L/min flow.
  • LiDAR safety: ABZ sense 3D LiDAR obstacle avoidance plus dual RTK positioning.
  • Fast turnaround: 18S 40,000 mAh smart battery recharges in about 20–25 minutes.
  • Long-range controller: 7-inch 1600-nit display with 8+ hours of operation.

3. Potential application

  • Large rice and sugar cane estates spraying fungicides and insecticides with low-drift CDA nozzles.
  • Fruit and coffee plantations applying foliar fertilizer or granules on uneven terrain.
  • Drone service providers seeking a non-Chinese heavy-lift sprayer for corporate or export-oriented growers.

4. Benefits

  • The company states up to 90% less water, up to 50% less chemical and 75% lower operating costs than conventional spraying.
  • Up to 24 ha per hour per drone, with 18–21 ha per hour on average.
  • Adjustable CDA droplet size reduces drift and fits both low-volume spraying and granular spreading.
  • Local data handling and CE, ISO and FCC compliance suit buyers concerned about data sovereignty.

6. Other information

Headquartered in Szentendre, Hungary. Raised a EUR 7 million round in January 2026 led by Vsquared Ventures with Day One Capital and Assembly Ventures, and opened an expanded factory in Szentendre in September 2026.
