1. Technology overview
AIE JSC (Advanced Industry Equipment Joint Stock Company) is a Vietnamese 3D technology supplier that grew out of an industrial and education equipment company founded in 2005, with offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It transfers advanced manufacturing technologies from developed countries to Vietnamese manufacturers, universities and research institutes to speed up product development, cut costs and stabilise quality.
AIE supplies ZEISS GOM optical 3D scanners (ATOS, ScanBox, CT and ARAMIS strain measurement) with ZEISS Inspect software, Markforged composite and metal 3D printers (FX10, FX20, X7, Metal X), UnionTech SLA printers, and is the exclusive distributor in Vietnam for Colibrium Additive (formerly GE Additive) metal laser and electron beam powder bed fusion systems. It also offers Geomagic Design X, Altair and Cast Designer software, plus 3D printing, scanning, inspection, reverse engineering, CAE simulation, equipment rental and training services for mechanical, automotive, aerospace, defence, medical and education customers.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Optical 3D metrology: ZEISS GOM ATOS scanners, ScanBox automated cells and CT for dimensional inspection.
- Composite and metal printing: Markforged FX10, FX20, X7 and Metal X for tooling and end-use parts.
- Industrial metal AM: exclusive distribution of Colibrium Additive laser and electron beam powder bed systems.
- SLA printing: UnionTech resin printers for prototypes and casting patterns.
- Engineering software: ZEISS Inspect, Geomagic Design X, Altair and Cast Designer for inspection, reverse engineering and simulation.
- 3D services and training: printing, scanning, inspection, reverse engineering, CAE, equipment rental and operator training.
3. Potential application
Footwear and automotive part plants can inspect moulds and components with automated optical scanners. Pump and foundry manufacturers can combine 3D scanning, casting simulation and printed patterns to reduce casting defects. Universities and defence research institutes can set up metal additive manufacturing and metrology labs with training support.
4. Benefits
Manufacturers can source industrial 3D printers, optical metrology and simulation software from one local partner that handles consulting, installation, training and after-sales service. Optical 3D inspection compares produced parts with CAD to detect deviations early, while composite and metal printing produce jigs, fixtures and spare parts faster than traditional supply chains. Rental and service options let companies test the technology before investing.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Vietnamese mechanical, automotive and supporting industries must meet stricter quality requirements from FDI customers, which drives investment in 3D inspection and digital manufacturing. Industrial 3D printing is moving from prototypes to jigs, fixtures and spare parts, and metal additive manufacturing is entering aerospace, defence and medical applications in Vietnam.
6. Other information
