1. Technology overview
aquaManager is an aquaculture technology platform operated by i2S SA, a company whose data processing is based in Greece. It started from the need to give fish farmers visibility and control over production and grew into a connected platform of software, analytics and field devices, used by producers in more than 60 countries for over 25 fish and shrimp species.
The software covers grow-out, hatchery and production planning, inventory, traceability, maintenance and mobile data entry. The BlueIoT layer connects feeding cameras, pellet detection, AI biomass estimation cameras, water quality sensors and autonomous data loggers, feeding their data into aquaManager. BI and advanced analytics show trends and correlations, and APIs integrate with ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics. It serves offshore cage farms, land-based and RAS operations, hatcheries, shrimp farms and research bodies.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Grow-out and hatchery modules: production control, feeding, growth and planning from hatchery to harvest.
- Inventory and traceability: batch tracking, stock movements and compliance records.
- BlueIoT devices: feeding cameras, pellet detection, AI biomass cameras, sensors and data loggers.
- BI and advanced analytics: dashboards, trends and correlations across sites.
- Mobile applications: field data entry and maintenance management.
- Integrations and API: connections to ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics.
3. Potential application
- Integrated pangasius companies managing hatcheries, grow-out ponds and feed across many sites.
- Shrimp exporters linking farm records to ERP for traceability to processing.
- Marine fish hatcheries and cage farms tracking batches and biomass for planning.
4. Benefits
- Gives one view of feeding, growth, mortality, inventory and costs across all sites.
- Supports traceability and regulatory compliance with complete batch records.
- Reduces feed waste through camera-based feeding control and pellet detection.
- Can be rolled out in one to three months, starting with one or two pilot sites.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Aquaculture producers are consolidating and face stricter traceability and sustainability requirements from export markets, which pushes them from spreadsheets to integrated farm management systems. Vietnamese pangasius, shrimp and marine fish exporters need batch-level records to meet buyer and certification demands.
6. Other information
aquaManager is operated by i2S SA, named as data controller in its privacy policy with data processed in Greece. It is used in more than 60 countries for over 25 species. In February 2026 US salmon and trout producer Riverence started a strategic collaboration, and in April 2026 i2S announced aqua4, a unified real-time farm management platform.
