1. Technology overview
Intflow Inc. is a Korean AI vision company incorporated in August 2019 and headquartered in Gwangju. Its technology began on livestock farms, turning camera footage of animals into data for farm decisions, and has since expanded to space operations and industrial inspection. The company reports cameras installed in 11 countries and 82 intellectual property assets.
edgefarm is a contactless livestock management solution for pig barns. Cameras mounted at 2.2-2.5 m send footage to an Edge AI device that detects, tracks and analyses each pig on site, so analysis continues even with slow internet. It counts animals entering and leaving, estimates herd-average weight and daily gain, measures activity and time at the feeder to flag potentially unwell pigs, and recognises vehicles, people and protective clothing at the farm entrance for biosecurity. Results appear on web and mobile dashboards with alerts and live video. The models are trained on more than 2.5 million pig and cattle posture records and protected by Korean patents.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- edgefarm Count: automatic counting of pigs entering and leaving, from piglets to finishers.
- Weight estimation: herd-average weight, daily gain and growth trend records from body shape.
- Health signals: activity and feeder-time analysis to flag potentially unwell pigs.
- Biosecurity gate: vehicle and person recognition, protective-clothing detection, siren and QR entry logs.
- Omni-Sync: connects scattered cameras into one view of the barn.
- Edge AI and dashboards: on-site analysis with web and mobile dashboards, alerts and live video.
3. Potential application
- Integrated pig companies counting and weighing pigs at transfer and shipment without entering pens.
- Large farms enforcing biosecurity at the gate against African swine fever.
- Feed companies using growth and daily-gain data to advise contract farmers on feeding plans.
4. Benefits
- Removes manual counting and weighing by measuring headcount, herd-average weight and daily gain from camera footage.
- Flags pigs with below-average activity or feeder time so sick animals are checked earlier.
- Strengthens farm-entrance biosecurity with automatic vehicle, person and protective-clothing checks.
- Edge processing keeps analysis running on farms with unreliable internet and lowers storage costs.
5. Market trends & opportunities
African swine fever and labour shortages are pushing pig producers to reduce human contact in barns and tighten biosecurity, while larger farms need objective data on growth and shipment timing. Vietnam, one of Asia's biggest pork producers, is moving toward large closed and multi-storey farms where camera-based counting, weighing and entrance control fit well.
