1. Technology overview
EON Group Holding Inc. was founded in 2017 in New York by Natasha Franck. It builds digital identity infrastructure for physical products so that brands can meet digital product passport (DPP) rules and support resale, repair and recycling.
The EON Product Cloud issues persistent digital IDs for products, batches, individual items and materials, linked to QR codes, NFC, RFID or woven labels. Lifecycle events are recorded using GS1 EPCIS 2.0, and each scan routes the user to the passport view for their role, such as consumer, regulator or partner. The platform runs on Microsoft Azure and offers more than 200 APIs; EON reports DPP work with over 50 companies, including PANGAIA and Coachtopia.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Digital IDs: Persistent identities are issued for products, batches, items and materials.
- Data carriers: IDs are linked to QR codes, NFC tags, RFID or woven and printed labels.
- Lifecycle events: Events are recorded using the GS1 EPCIS 2.0 standard.
- Role-based routing: Each scan opens the passport view for the consumer, regulator or partner.
- Circular services: The same ID supports authentication, repair, resale and recycling.
- Developer Hub: More than 200 APIs connect ERP, PLM, PIM and supplier systems.
3. Potential application
Garment and footwear factories in Vietnam can apply EON-linked labels and record production events for brand customers. Vietnamese consumer brands exporting to the EU can launch QR-based passports for authentication and care information. Electronics assemblers can prepare item-level IDs for upcoming DPP requirements.
4. Benefits
One persistent product ID serves authentication, after-sales service, resale and recycling. Role-based passport views let brands share the right data with consumers, regulators and partners. Standards such as GS1 Digital Link and EPCIS 2.0 ease interoperability with partners. Over 200 APIs connect product data from ERP, PLM and PIM systems without rebuilding them.
5. Market trends & opportunities
The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation is introducing digital product passports for textiles, electronics, batteries and other categories, while resale and repair markets are growing. Vietnamese manufacturers supplying EU and US brands will increasingly be asked to attach digital IDs and lifecycle data to the goods they produce.
