Ezurio Sentrius RS26x LoRaWAN Temperature Sensor

Ezurio, formerly Laird Connectivity, engineers connectivity and embedded compute products for connected devices, with its headquarters in downtown Akron, Ohio. It sells wireless modules, antennas, system-on-modules, IoT gateways and sensors for industrial, medical, commercial IoT and building automation markets.

The Sentrius RS26x is a battery-powered, IP67 LoRaWAN temperature sensor for HACCP-level monitoring and real-time alerting. It has an internal Sensirion STS40 sensor with plus or minus 0.2 degrees Celsius accuracy or an external probe over USB-C, and uses Bluetooth LE for configuration. It is designed to the EN12830:2018 standard for temperature recorders.

Long-range LoRaWAN link suits large cold chain sites. A CR123A battery gives an estimated two years at 15-minute transmissions. Stored data is sent once the network recovers after an outage. Pre-certified for FCC, CE, UKCA and other markets, and customisation is offered.

LoRaWAN is spreading in food safety and cold chain monitoring because gateways cover whole warehouses cheaply. Vietnamese cold storage, supermarket and restaurant chains looking for HACCP-grade automated logging can use such sensors through local integrators.
