Goong Map APIs

IMAP Technology and Service JSC operates Goong, a Vietnamese digital map platform with its registered office in Ba Dinh, Hanoi. Goong offers map APIs to developers and businesses that want an alternative to global map providers, with servers in Vietnam and Singapore.

The platform provides geocoding and reverse geocoding, routing, distance matrix, trip planning and autocomplete, plus vector-tile Map View with over 100 templates. Routing accounts for Vietnam-specific traffic rules such as car-ban hours and no-turn intersections. Switching from Google Maps requires changing the endpoint URL and API key.

• Geocoding: converts addresses to coordinates and back.
• Routing and distance matrix: directions that follow Vietnam-specific traffic rules.
• Autocomplete: place suggestions that handle abbreviations and misspellings.
• Trip planning: multi-stop route computation for high trip volumes.
• Map View: vector-tile maps for web and mobile with over 100 templates.
• Regional servers: hosted in Vietnam and Singapore.

• E-commerce checkout with address autocomplete and verification.
• Logistics firms planning routes and pricing delivery trips.
• Goods traceability apps displaying locations on maps.

• Address and routing data adapted to Vietnamese streets and traffic rules.
• Targets under 200 ms for directions and autocomplete (P95) and 99.99% availability.
• Pay-as-you-go pricing with a free tier of 30,000 queries per month.
• Easy migration from Google Maps by changing endpoint and key.

E-commerce, delivery and ride services in Vietnam depend on accurate addresses, and recent administrative mergers force frequent map data updates. This drives demand for local map APIs that keep address data current at lower cost than global providers.
