1. Technology overview
Linexa is a Munich-based industrial automation software company, founded toward the end of 2025 according to an April 2026 funding report. It addresses the difficulty of understanding and changing legacy PLC-controlled production lines from multiple vendors.
Its PLC Engineering Agent, in early access, parses PLC, HMI and other automation files into a single searchable model called the Nexus that maps machine communications and dependencies. Applications include tracing faults, generating and validating code changes, and structuring data for MES, OEE and maintenance analytics. Use cases include PLC backup, version control and troubleshooting.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Ingest and parse: reads PLC, HMI and other automation files.
- Nexus model: builds a searchable graph of machine communications and dependencies.
- Machine troubleshooting: traces faults through the control logic.
- Code changes: generates and validates reprogramming of machines and systems.
- Operations data: structures data for MES, OEE and maintenance analytics.
- PLC backup and version control: tracks changes to automation code.
3. Potential application
Vietnamese filling, packaging or assembly plants could analyse control logic before product changeovers. Maintenance teams could keep versioned PLC backups across lines from different vendors.
4. Benefits
Makes legacy control logic from multiple vendors searchable and traceable. Supports faster troubleshooting and shorter changeover downtime. Structures machine data for MES, OEE and maintenance use. Offers PLC backup and version control for automation assets.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Factories run decades-old multi-vendor control systems whose logic is poorly documented, so AI engineering agents for PLC code are emerging. Vietnamese plants with imported lines from several automation vendors face similar documentation and maintenance gaps.
6. Other information
Munich, Germany; founded toward the end of 2025. EUR 2M pre-seed announced April 2026 led by Project A with angel investors from Festo and Celonis. The product is in early access.
