1. Technology overview
Marketnode is an Asia-Pacific digital market infrastructure operator launched in January 2021 by SGX Group and Temasek, and now also backed by Euroclear and HSBC. Licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, it helps banks, asset managers and distributors move fund, structured product and credit workflows onto shared digital infrastructure.
Gateway is its platform to launch, distribute and service institutional tokenised real-world assets. Issuers and arrangers create tokenised funds, structured notes and credit; Gateway connects them to digitally native distributors and maintains records, lifecycle events and payment flows. It supports public and private EVM and selected non-EVM networks, pre-integrated AML, KYC and travel-rule providers such as Elliptic, custodians such as Fireblocks and Ripple Custody, and fiat settlement. Sister products are Fundnode and Smartflow.

4. Benefits
Issuers bring tokenised funds, structured products and credit to market without building their own blockchain, registry and paying-agent stack. Distributors gain access to institutional products such as BNY Mellon, WisdomTree and Franklin Templeton funds through one gateway. Configurable workflows and pre-integrated compliance and custody partners shorten onboarding. Its Fundnode network has processed more than 3 million orders worth over S$2 billion.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Banks and asset managers in Asia are moving tokenisation from pilots such as MAS Project Guardian into live issuance of funds and structured notes. In Southeast Asia, Maybank has launched a tokenised money market fund, and Vietnam's work on a legal framework for crypto-assets and real-world asset tokenization is drawing interest from local banks and fund managers.
