1. Technology overview
Meiro was started in Singapore in 2017 by Jana Marle-Zizkova, Pavel Bulowski and Vojtech Kurka, who had earlier run a data consultancy covering Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The first project came from a large Indonesian bank that needed a single view of its customers. Meiro builds a composable customer data platform for marketing and data teams in retail, e-commerce, banking, telco, pharma and travel that want to own their first-party data.
The platform has three modules. Meiro Pipes captures web and app events, resolves identities across devices and offline touchpoints, and routes data to warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake and Databricks. Meiro Audiences keeps persistent customer profiles with consent governance and AI-assisted segmentation. Meiro Engage activates segments across email, push, SMS, paid media and journeys. An AI agent called Piper works across all modules through natural language. Meiro can run on-premise, in the client's own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, or as managed SaaS. Named users include Dr.Max, Chemist Warehouse, DER Touristik, BCA and Komercni Banka.
2. Highlighted features & specifications

- Meiro Audiences: Builds persistent customer profiles with consent governance and no-code segmentation.
- Meiro Engage: Activates audiences across email, push, SMS, paid media and journey orchestration.
- Piper AI agent: Configures sources, attributes, audiences and destinations through natural language with an approval flow.
- Flexible deployment: Runs on-premise, in the client's AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, or as managed SaaS.
- Ad platform sync: Sends audiences to Meta, Google and TikTok for lookalike, suppression and retargeting.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese pharmacy or supermarket chain can unify POS, app and website data into one customer profile hosted in its own cloud and run abandoned cart and replenishment campaigns. A bank or consumer finance company can segment customers for cross-sell while keeping data on-premise. An e-commerce marketplace can build first-party audiences for retail media and lookalike advertising.
4. Benefits
Customer data can stay inside the buyer's own cloud or data centre, which helps banks, pharmacies and retailers meet data residency rules. Retail case studies on the site report a 26% conversion lift from abandoned cart reminders and 92% better ROAS from first-party audience targeting. Pricing is an annual subscription tiered by monthly active users rather than metered events, and the vendor claims 60-80% lower cost than legacy CDPs at scale.
5. Market trends & opportunities
The decline of third-party cookies and stricter data protection rules are pushing retailers and banks to build first-party data assets they control. Vietnam's personal data protection rules and similar laws across Southeast Asia make data residency a buying criterion, favouring CDPs that can run inside a company's own cloud. Retail media and AI agents for marketing are also raising demand for clean, unified customer profiles.
