1. Technology overview
Neural Concept was born in 2019 from an AI research lab in Switzerland and is headquartered in Lausanne, with offices in Europe, the United States, India, Seoul and Tokyo. It helps engineering organizations in automotive, consumer electronics, aerospace, energy and semiconductors shorten product development and avoid late-stage redesigns.
Its platform is a modular environment for human-agent collaboration that learns from simulation and test data to predict the performance of new 3D designs and suggest improvements. Modules include an Engineering Intelligence Layer, human-agent interfaces, specialized engineering intelligences, an AI design copilot launched in January 2026 and an MCP Bridge released in October 2026 that lets AI agents operate industrial engineering software. It is deployed with AWS, Microsoft and NVIDIA.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Engineering Intelligence Layer: learns from simulation and test data to predict 3D design performance.
- AI design copilot: physics- and geometry-aware assistant launched in January 2026.
- Human-agent interfaces: engineers and AI agents collaborate on design exploration.
- MCP Bridge: lets AI agents operate industrial CAD and CAE software.
- Reusable intelligence: models carry knowledge across vehicle and product programs.
- Enterprise deployment: security, integration and scaling with AWS, Microsoft and NVIDIA Omniverse.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese EV maker could predict aerodynamic and thermal performance of new body or battery pack designs. An electronics manufacturer could optimize cooling of enclosures. An automotive interior or component supplier could explore more design variants before tooling.
4. Benefits
Engineers can evaluate many more design variants per day: JLR raised daily aerodynamic results evaluated from 50 to 1,500. MAHLE gained 15% energy efficiency on an EV blower in a single design cycle. Knowledge from each program is captured as reusable intelligence, reducing late redesigns and repeated simulations.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Automotive and electronics makers are adopting engineering AI to shorten development cycles, especially for EVs. Neural Concept opened offices in Seoul and India in 2026, reflecting demand from Asian manufacturers, and Vietnamese EV and component makers face the same pressure to design faster with smaller teams.
6. Other information
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, Neural Concept raised a 27 million USD Series B in June 2024 and closed a 100 million USD round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives in January 2026. It was named a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2025 and has partnered with Cybernet in Japan.
