1. Technology overview
PointFive was founded in January 2023 by Alon Arvatz, Amir Hozez and Gal Ben-David and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, with offices in New York, Boston and Denver. It helps enterprises spending more than USD 1 million a year on cloud and AI find and remove waste that conventional cost dashboards miss.
PointFive OS, launched in June 2026 as an agentic FinOps platform, combines a context layer on resources and their relationships, cost and usage visibility, monitoring, automation with safeguards, and a builder for custom apps, operated through chat and AI coworkers. It grew out of the DeepWaste detection engine and covers 40+ platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks and AI providers. The companion product TokenShift monitors and governs AI coding agents on employee workstations. Customers include Nubank, E.ON, Hertz, Fanatics, Swiss Post and NICE.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Brain context layer: maps resources, relationships and activity across cloud, data and AI estates.
- Visibility: shows usage, cost and efficiency opportunities across 40+ platforms.
- Monitoring: tracks usage, cost and configuration changes continuously.
- Automation with safeguards: acts on findings through approved agentic remediation workflows.
- Build: lets teams create custom tools and apps from their own organizational data.
- TokenShift: allows or blocks models, MCP servers and tools and enforces budgets for AI coding agents on workstations.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese bank or fintech running workloads on AWS and Databricks can detect misconfigured databases and storage that inflate costs. A large software company can set budgets and model policies for developers using Claude Code or Cursor. A retail group can monitor Kubernetes and Snowflake spend in one place.
4. Benefits
The company reports that customers save 30% on cloud costs with an average ROI above 1,000% based on actual dollar savings, and that Nubank reached positive ROI within 10 days. Earlier, customers routinely found savings opportunities of 15-30% of total cloud spend. Waste is traced to its root cause and fixed with the customer's approval, and AI coding agent spend can be governed with budgets and policies.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Spending on AI services, data platforms and AI coding agents is adding a fast-growing, hard-to-predict layer on top of traditional cloud bills, pushing FinOps beyond compute rightsizing. Large enterprises in Vietnam and Southeast Asia that are scaling cloud and generative AI use face the same need to tie spend to engineering causes and govern AI token costs.
6. Other information
Founded in January 2023, headquartered in Tel Aviv with offices in New York, Boston and Denver and over 100 employees. Raised a USD 16M seed (Index Ventures, 2024), a USD 20M Series A (Salesforce Ventures, 2024) and a USD 60M Series B led by Accel (June 2026). Member of the AWS ISV Accelerate program; holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
