1. Technology overview
Safefood 360 was built in 2010 by a group of food safety experts and lists its office in Dublin, Ireland. In July 2025 it became part of Ideagen, a compliance software group headquartered in Nottingham, UK, with offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, including Malaysia, the Philippines and India. It helps food manufacturers replace paper and spreadsheets used to run HACCP plans, prerequisite programmes and supplier approval for GFSI audits.
The cloud platform, built on Microsoft Azure, offers more than 35 pre-set modules. HACCP and preventive control plans use risk assessment models, decision trees and a hazard database; the management system covers CAPA, deviations, audits, management review and recalls; prerequisite programmes cover cleaning, maintenance, pest control, training and glass control; monitoring links production records with IoT data and alerts; and supplier and document control modules manage approvals, scorecards and versions.
