1. Technology overview
Securiti was founded in 2019 by Rehan Jalil in San Jose, California. It addresses the difficulty large organizations face in knowing where sensitive and personal data sits across hybrid multicloud and SaaS systems, and in proving that this data is handled lawfully and safely, including when it feeds AI.
The DataAI Command Platform is built on a knowledge graph of data, identities, regulations and AI systems. Its privacy module, known as PrivacyOps, automates data mapping and records of processing, data subject request fulfillment, privacy assessments, consent management for web and mobile apps, breach management and privacy centers. Other modules cover data security posture management, data discovery and classification, access governance, AI governance and the Gencore AI toolkit for safe enterprise copilots. Customers are enterprises in finance, healthcare, technology, retail and government.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Data discovery: Finds and classifies sensitive and personal data across clouds, SaaS and on-premise stores.
- DSR automation: Fulfills access and deletion requests end to end with a privacy center.
- Data mapping: Builds records of processing and data flow maps automatically.
- Consent management: Manages cookie and mobile app consent and preferences.
- Assessments and breach: Automates DPIAs and breach impact analysis.
- DSPM and AI governance: Monitors data security posture and data used by AI agents.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese bank can map customer data across core banking, CRM and cloud data lakes and produce processing records for regulators. An insurer can automate access and deletion requests from policyholders. A telecom operator can check which personal data flows into internal AI assistants before rollout.
4. Benefits
Privacy and security teams work from one inventory of sensitive data instead of separate discovery, consent and request tools. Data subject requests and records of processing are generated from live system data rather than manual questionnaires. More than 1,000 pre-built integrations shorten rollout across cloud and SaaS estates. Governance controls extend to data used by AI copilots and agents.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Privacy laws now cover most major Asian markets, and Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law took effect in 2026 alongside the Law on Data, requiring records, impact assessments and timely responses to data subjects. At the same time, enterprises are moving data into AI systems, which increases demand for platforms that combine data security, privacy automation and AI governance.
6. Other information
Headquartered at 3155 Olsen Drive, San Jose, California. Veeam signed an agreement to acquire Securiti AI in October 2025 and completed the 1.725 billion USD deal on 11 December 2025; about 600 staff joined Veeam and founder Rehan Jalil became Veeam's President of Security and AI. The Securiti brand and site remain active. Backers included General Catalyst.
