1. Technology overview
Sensemore is a Turkish machine health company, officially founded in 2018 by graduates of Istanbul Technical University and Middle East Technical University and incubated at ITU Cekirdek. It helps cement, steel, pharmaceutical, FMCG and airport operators predict failures of rotating machinery and cut energy waste, and reports more than 70 corporate customers in over 15 countries.
The offer combines data acquisition devices, the Sensemore Platform and Machine Health AI. Infinity is marketed as the smallest wireless vibration sensor, powered by energy harvesting; Unify is a fully wireless ATEX-certified sensor; Wired Pro and the eight-channel Duck unit cover cabled and analog signals. Machine Health AI learns each machine's operating modes, builds spectral fingerprints, classifies root causes and estimates remaining useful life, while a Reliability Agent inside the LAKE platform returns a diagnosis, evidence and a proposed action. Customers include Arcelik, Bosch, Ford, Siemens, Sanofi and Bajaj.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Infinity sensors: tiny wireless vibration, temperature and magnetic field sensors powered by energy harvesting.
- Unify sensor: fully wireless ATEX-certified all-in-one sensor with long battery life.
- Machine Mode Analysis: AI learns each machine's operating states and flags unknown behaviour.
- Root cause and RUL: anomaly detection, fault classification and remaining useful life estimation.
- Reliability Agent: AI agent in the LAKE platform that returns diagnosis, evidence and proposed action.
- Developer tools: integration documentation and developer resources for connecting other systems.
3. Potential application
A cement plant in Vietnam can monitor kiln fans, mills and conveyors with wireless sensors. A steel or appliance manufacturer can track motors and gearboxes and estimate remaining useful life to plan shutdowns. An airport operator can monitor baggage handling and HVAC equipment.
4. Benefits
Sensemore reports up to 90% less downtime, 25% lower maintenance costs and 15% lower carbon emissions for its users, with malfunctions detected two to four months in advance. Energy-harvesting sensors avoid battery replacement, and analysis starts from the first measurement and improves over time, so plants see value without a long training period.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Energy-harvesting wireless sensors and AI agents are lowering the cost of monitoring balance-of-plant equipment that was previously checked only by periodic routes. Cement, steel and FMCG producers in Vietnam and Southeast Asia face both downtime pressure and carbon reporting, which favours tools that tie machine health to energy and emissions.
6. Other information
Sensemore was officially founded in 2018 after technology work began in 2016, with sales starting in 2019. It was incubated at ITU Cekirdek in Istanbul and backed by Proline Ventures, and lists more than 25 global partners. Its website is available in English, Turkish and German and offers a free trial.
