Tuya AI Cloud Developer Platform

Tuya Smart is a Chinese AI and IoT cloud platform provider listed on the NYSE (TUYA) and HKEX (2391). It lets appliance, lighting, security and electrical brands make their products connected and AI-enabled without building their own firmware stack, cloud and apps, and also offers solutions for commercial lighting, hospitality and residential buildings.

The developer platform combines TuyaOS and the open-source TuyaOpen framework for device firmware, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, cloud services such as IoT Core, device logs, data analytics, real-time audio and video and a SaaS development framework, and ready-made white-label apps. In April 2025 Tuya added an AI Agent Development Platform that connects to models such as DeepSeek, Qwen, OpenAI and Gemini, the Tuya.AI hardware toolkit, and HEDV, an edge computing platform that can run without the public cloud for energy and campus projects. Tuya reported 1.622 million registered AI developer accounts across more than 200 countries and regions as of September 2025.

A Vietnamese lighting or electrical brand can launch Wi-Fi or Bluetooth smart lights, switches and plugs with its own branded app. An appliance maker can add voice and AI agent features to air conditioners or water heaters. A hotel or real estate developer can deploy room and apartment automation on Tuya's hospitality and residential solutions.

Brands can launch connected and AI-enabled products quickly by combining certified modules, firmware, cloud and white-label apps from one vendor; Tuya states AI can be added to devices in as little as 10 minutes. Tuya AI tokens are free for developers using Tuya solutions, lowering the cost of AI features. HEDV supports private, cloud-independent deployment where data control matters, such as energy and campus projects.

Consumer and commercial devices are moving from simple app control to AI assistants and agents that act on device data. Southeast Asian appliance, lighting and electrical brands, including in Vietnam, increasingly need ready-made IoT and AI stacks to compete with imported smart products without large in-house cloud teams.

Tuya Smart is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (TUYA) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (2391). It held its 2025 Global Developer Summit in Shenzhen in April 2025 and reported more than 12,000 AI agents created by developers on its platform by late 2025.
