1. Technology overview
Cherre is a real estate data platform founded in New York in 2016 by L.D. Salmanson and Ben Hizak, acquired by real estate software provider RealPage in July 2026 while continuing to operate under the Cherre brand. It was created to unify the scattered property, ownership and market data that asset and investment managers otherwise pull from dozens of disconnected sources.
The platform connects internal systems with more than 150 external data and application partners into a single knowledge graph covering property, ownership and market information, accessible through APIs, a workflow portal and the Agent Studio tool for building AI agents on top of the data. Customers include asset managers and investment managers who use it for portfolio optimization, risk evaluation and yield analysis.
